In the year 2022 I participated in the NEXT competition and won First Place, receiving an invitation to join the team at Ubisoft Toronto where I am currently working.
The competition was split into two phases.
Phase 1: Mission Design Document
This is was the first paper-design and pitch of the mission.
Phase 2: Playable Blockout
This was the playable blockout created in Unreal Engine 5 using the provided package.
Scenario
Design a mission taking place inside a Third-person stealth game. Review gameplay footage of Stealth games for references in terms of combat, navigation, and the use of light & dark.
Setup
Choose a location best suited to your goal and with the provided gameplay ingredients, design a scenario that frames the objective and the actions the player is taking in your mission.
The Goal
• Must involve the player completing a minimum of (3) objectives.
• Objectives must be placed within the bounds of your mission.
• Must fit realistically within the chosen thematic space.
• Feel free to gate progress through the mission.

Changelist Document:
Alongside the playable submission we were asked to submit a changelist documenting the differences between our Mission Design Document and our final playable level.
This does look like the first submission document but it is definitely the second submission document.
